Vegastars Live Casino NZ: Evolution, Pragmatic Live and Four Vegastars Tables
Short answer: Two suppliers deal most of the Vegastars live tables. Evolution brings 461 titles over two connections; Pragmatic Play Live runs its own tables and the four that carry the Vegastars name. Playtech fills in with live blackjack and baccarat. A bonus changes the arithmetic: towards the 40x wagering a live bet counts only 10%, so each NZ$100 of requirement needs NZ$1,000 staked at the tables. Some live games count for nothing at all, among them Evolution’s Auto-Roulette, Bac Bo and Stock Market. Catalogue checked 2 October 2026. 18+, T&Cs apply.
In a live game, a human dealer runs each real-money round over a video feed. Once a bonus is running, live play behaves very differently from a pokie. We cover the suppliers and the lobby first, then the four branded tables and what the 10% contribution does to the NZ$ maths. Our Vegastars NZ overview deals with the licence, banking and the welcome package.
Who supplies the Vegastars live tables
The bigger supplier is Evolution. On 2 October 2026 the platform listed 461 Evolution titles, 393 of them through an aggregator and 68 through a direct connection. They sit in five lobbies (Game Shows, Poker, Baccarat & Sic Bo, Blackjack and Roulette), and titles such as Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette have pages of their own in the NZ sitemap.
Pragmatic Play Live gets a separate category page with roulette, baccarat, blackjack and game-show tables, and all four Vegastars-branded tables run on it. Playtech has 345 games in the catalogue. Most are pokies, though live blackjack and baccarat are in there too.
Live casino is one of four criteria we rate 5.0 out of 5. Vegastars loses its points in other areas, chiefly the payout record, and our Vegastars pros and cons set the two side by side.

Mega RouletteThe live lobby by provider and what counts on a bonus
Below are the titles we recorded in the NZ lobby and sitemap. The last column shows what share of a bet goes towards bonus wagering under Vegastars’ Bonus Terms:
| Provider and type | Titles we recorded | Counts towards wagering |
|---|---|---|
| Evolution · game shows | Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, Dream Catcher, Mega Ball, Football Studio, Dead or Alive Saloon | 10%; Stock Market excluded (0%) |
| Evolution · roulette | Lightning Roulette in standard, XXXtreme, First Person and Auto versions | 10%; First Person series, Auto-Roulette and VIP Roulette excluded (0%) |
| Evolution · blackjack | A dedicated Blackjack lobby; individual tables not recorded | 10% |
| Evolution · baccarat and sic bo | Several Sic Bo variants, in one lobby with baccarat | 10%; Bac Bo excluded (0%) |
| Evolution · poker and cards | Casino Hold’em, Super Andar Bahar | 10% |
| Pragmatic Play Live · roulette | Mega Roulette, Mega Roulette 3000, Auto Roulette, Speed Roulette 1, PowerUP Roulette, Gates of Olympus Roulette, American Roulette | Unclear: the Bonus Terms exclude a Pragmatic entry called “Roulette” |
| Pragmatic Play Live · baccarat | Mega, Turbo, Squeeze, Speed and Super 8 Baccarat | 10% |
| Pragmatic Play Live · blackjack | One Blackjack 1, ONE Blackjack Latino, Free Bet Blackjack 4, Bet Behind Pro | 10% |
| Pragmatic Play Live · game shows | Sweet Bonanza CandyLand, Vegas Ball Bonanza, Treasure Island, Football Blitz Top Card, Money Time, 24D Spin | 10% |
| Vegastars-branded (Pragmatic Play Live) | Vegastars Blackjack, Vegastars VIP Blackjack, Vegastars Roulette, Vegastars Auto Mega Roulette | Blackjack 10%; the roulettes share the “Roulette” question |
| Playtech · live tables | Live blackjack and baccarat | 10%; Playtech roulettes excluded (0%) |
That 10% only holds for live games absent from the exclusion list, and the list runs to dozens of titles. Search the Bonus Terms for your table before you bet with bonus money. Evolution’s First Person series is excluded whole, blackjack and baccarat versions included. Stock Market and Bac Bo are named there as well, although neither turned up among the game pages in the NZ sitemap.
The four Vegastars tables
All four tables with the casino’s name come from Pragmatic Play Live and appear in the Live Casino row of the Vegastars home page: Vegastars Blackjack, Vegastars VIP Blackjack, Vegastars Roulette and Vegastars Auto Mega Roulette. The pages we read give them no separate rules or limits. Each table’s rules panel and bet range appear once you open it. In a roulette table’s name, “Auto” usually means the wheel is launched automatically, without a dealer.

Nor do those pages say who may sit at Vegastars VIP Blackjack, and the name alone doesn’t tell you whether a loyalty level is required. What Vegastars does publish is the Vegastars VIP ladder: 17 levels, 1 point for each $1 staked in real money on eligible games, a personal host only at the top levels and no points for bonus-balance bets (Bonus Terms 6.4).
Live casino on a bonus: the 10% rule
Bonus Terms 6.1 and 6.2 credit pokie bets at 100% and live bets at 10%; everything else counts 0%. Welcome wagering multiplies the deposit plus the bonus by 40, so a NZ$100 first deposit and its NZ$100 match leave NZ$8,000 of qualifying bets to place. On pokies that’s NZ$8,000 staked. At a live table only a tenth of each bet is credited, and the same requirement needs NZ$80,000. Two more limits from the same 40x wagering rules follow you to the tables: NZ$25 per round at most, and no more than NZ$10,000 in winnings from bonus play.
What NZ$80,000 means at the table
Even at the NZ$25 cap, NZ$80,000 means at least 3,200 hands or spins. On pokies, 320 spins at NZ$25 would do it. The welcome stages have no expiry of their own in Vegastars’ published terms, so the timer that applies is the general one: 5 days from activation. Spread over five days, that is NZ$16,000 of live bets a day, compared with NZ$1,600 on pokies. Check your account’s timer first.
What it costs on average
The expected cost of wagering is turnover × (100% − RTP). On a pokie with a 96.50% RTP, the NZ$8,000 carries an average cost of NZ$280, set against a NZ$100 bonus. For the live side, take Crazy Time. Evolution’s page gives it an RTP of 96.08%, varying with the bet spot, and Vegastars’ platform data shows 95.5%. Clearing the requirement there means NZ$80,000 of bets, which costs NZ$3,136 on average at 96.08% or NZ$3,600 at 95.5%. Both are what the maths expects over many hours; a single evening at the table can end well ahead of them or well behind.
If the tables are the reason you’re here, skip the bonus at the deposit step. Cash play at Vegastars carries no wagering and none of the bonus limits. Once a bonus is running, Vegastars slots that count in full clear the requirement ten times faster.
Live games that count for nothing
The Bonus Terms list them under “Games Excluded from Active Wagering Requirements”: Evolution’s Auto-Roulette, Bac Bo, Stock Market, VIP Roulette and the First Person series, plus Playtech’s roulettes. Pragmatic Play’s entry reads simply “Roulette”. Whether that covers Vegastars Roulette and Vegastars Auto Mega Roulette the terms don’t say, so ask live chat first. One pair of names trips people up. NetEnt’s Dead or Alive pokie is excluded, while Evolution’s Dead or Alive Saloon is a separate live game and isn’t on the list we read.
Crazy Time and the other game shows
Crazy Time and Dream Catcher both turn on a large money wheel. Monopoly Live has a wheel too and adds a board-game bonus round, while Mega Ball draws numbered balls against bingo-style cards. Evolution’s page puts Crazy Time’s top bonus-round win at 20,000x. On these shows, where you bet decides the return, because individual spots pay back different amounts. The in-game help screen lists them, and that is the figure that applies to your stake. We give no RTP for Lightning Roulette, as we couldn’t read one from Evolution’s page.
Roulette, blackjack and baccarat
Roulette
On a standard single-zero wheel the house edge is 2.70%. American Roulette, one of the Pragmatic tables, adds a double zero, which lifts it to 5.26% on most bets. Per NZ$1,000 staked, that is NZ$52.60 on average instead of NZ$27.00. Lightning and Mega versions add random multipliers and alter the standard payouts, so look up their returns in the help screen. For bonus play, roulette is the least dependable category, since most of the excluded live titles are wheels.
Blackjack
You’ll find blackjack in Evolution’s lobby, at four Pragmatic tables, at Playtech and at the two branded tables. Only Evolution’s First Person tables appear in the exclusions we recorded; the rest count at 10%. We don’t quote a blackjack RTP. It depends on each table’s rules and on the decisions you make, and none of the pages we checked publishes one for these tables.
Baccarat, Sic Bo and poker
Baccarat comes in five formats from Pragmatic Play Live, plus Playtech’s tables. Evolution keeps its baccarat in one lobby with several Sic Bo variants. Bac Bo, Evolution’s dice game settled on baccarat-style Player and Banker bets, is excluded from wagering. On the poker side, Evolution’s Casino Hold’em is played against the dealer, so you aren’t competing with other players.
Table limits
There’s no combined list of live table limits from Vegastars. Each table shows its own minimum and maximum bet when you open it, and that range applies. Two published rules come on top. With a bonus active, no round may exceed NZ$25, whatever the table allows. Daily wins above $10,000 trigger additional checks. Any limit ranges quoted on other sites didn’t come from Vegastars’ pages.
Live tables on your phone
On a phone, the live lobby runs in the browser. You can also add it to the home screen as a Progressive Web App from Safari or Chrome; there’s no App Store or Google Play app. The manifest locks the installed version to portrait, so use an ordinary browser tab for a sideways view. Since live tables offer no demo, the first hand at any new table is played for real money. The PWA installation is explained on our Vegastars casino app page.
Evening sessions, limits and help
Daylight time began in New Zealand on 27 September 2026, and until 4 April 2027 clocks read NZDT, 13 hours ahead of UTC. Vegastars doesn’t publish opening hours for individual tables, and we haven’t logged them, so after work the lobby itself shows what’s running.
Each live round runs on a betting timer, and the session moves at the table’s pace. Set Vegastars loss limits before the first hand. They cap net losses by the day, week or month, with unsettled bets included. A lower limit takes effect straight away, while lifting or removing one only happens after 24 hours. Deposit and wager limits, reality checks and time-outs from one day to three months are available alongside it.
Vegastars is operated from outside New Zealand and does not hold a New Zealand licence. No online casino holds one yet: under the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026, the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) expects to start issuing up to 15 licences from early 2027. The DIA’s online gambling FAQs carry the current position. 18+ only. If gambling is a problem for you or someone close to you, call the Gambling Helpline free on 0800 654 655 or text 8006, any time.
Cash play and getting paid
Play without a bonus and live bets are ordinary real-money play, with one rule left over: before any withdrawal, the deposit itself must be bet through at least once. The monthly withdrawal ceiling in Vegastars’ terms is $50,000, with no currency named, and anything above it is paid in monthly instalments. Approval usually comes within about an hour; for large sums Vegastars allows up to 24 hours. After that, Skrill, cards and crypto take minutes, and a bank transfer 2–3 business days, up to 5.
The terms allow Mastercard payouts only to certain European countries. New Zealand isn’t among them, so a Mastercard depositor here is usually paid by bank transfer. For a request made on the evening of Friday 23 October, the weekend and Labour Day come first, so the business-day count starts on Tuesday 27 October and the money lands between Wednesday 28 October and Monday 2 November. Some recent Trustpilot complaints report one- to two-week delays; Vegastars payout times has the full timeline. POLi does appear on Vegastars’ own NZ live casino page, but unlicensed online casinos are excluded under POLi’s participation criteria, so don’t plan on it.
Vegastars live casino FAQ
Can I play Vegastars live dealer games on mobile?
Yes. Use the browser on iPhone or Android, or add the Progressive Web App to your home screen; there’s no store app. The installed version stays in portrait, so a browser tab is better for a sideways view.
Does live casino count towards Vegastars bonus wagering?
Yes, at 10%. With a NZ$100 first deposit and a NZ$100 bonus you need NZ$80,000 of live bets, against NZ$8,000 on pokies, with a NZ$25 limit on each round. Excluded live games count 0%. To play live on cash instead, decline the bonus.
Can I try Vegastars live games for free?
No. Many pokies have a free demo, but live tables don’t, so every hand or spin is played with real money. The welcome free spins are credited on two pokies, Gates of Olympus 1000 and Sugar Rush 1000, and can’t be used at the tables.
What are the table limits at the Vegastars live casino?
There’s no single published list. Each table shows its minimum and maximum when you open it, and with a bonus active the NZ$25 per-round cap overrides any higher table maximum.
Is Crazy Time available at Vegastars NZ?
Yes. Evolution’s Crazy Time has its own page in the NZ lobby and counts 10% towards bonus wagering. Evolution lists its RTP at 96.08%, varying by bet spot; Vegastars’ platform data shows 95.5%.
Which live games are excluded from wagering at Vegastars?
Evolution’s Auto-Roulette, Bac Bo, Stock Market, VIP Roulette and First Person series, plus Playtech’s roulettes. Pragmatic Play also has an excluded entry called “Roulette”, and the terms don’t spell out what it covers. These games can still be played with a bonus running; they just don’t reduce the requirement.
